Why don't people cook more often?
I believe the simple answer is because; meat is messy!
We love to eat it, but we don't like handling raw meat and prep and cleanup takes time.
Many cooks have not learned easy ways to streamline meat preparation..

Dave's New potato casserole.Rosemary and new potato recipe from Dave Pike;
as Chris and I remembered his description. Rosemary Potatoes About 2 pounds of small new potatoes cut in halves. Three cloves of garlic sliced thin. Several Scallions sliced. two tablespoons of fresh rosemary. A tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of butter.. Mix all ingredients in a Wok and sauté to blend flavors and brown onions. Pour into glass baking dish and cook in oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. |
The solution to messy meat.
Cook meat in quantity and freeze. Use portion control to keep your family from eating too much meat at a meal.
The best day to prepare meat is the day before your trash pickup runs. All of the packaging can go directly out in the trash and leave before it starts to stink. I cook chicken breasts in the oven in glass 9x13 pans at 350 degrees for an hour. (1/2 hour on each side). I sprinkle paprika on them when I put them in and when I turn them over. Two pans full with six breasts in each will make quite a few meals. Be sure to save the broth for soup or as a sauce in stir fry.
